Vacation Day 10

We began today with worship, a very quick lunch, and then a dash down to the harbor to take a harbor tour.  I, of course, forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures during the tour.  It was very pleasant, so pleasant in fact that Christopher fell asleep!

Next we headed toward the market district for a historic carriage tour.
Boy do you learn a lot on this tour!

This was the view from within the carriage.  I was really glad for the canopy.  The sun was really hot!

This church bell tower is still empty.
Its bell was melted down during the civil war for the purpose of making weapons.

According to our guide, this relatively small home would sell for 1-1.5 million.  Amazing!

We've really enjoyed seeing the palm trees.  Our tour took us all the way to Charleston Harbor.

Problem report.  This was a rather frustrating evening.  We came back to have dinner after a fun day only to find that much of our food had soaked up water from the melted ice in the coolers.  Ugh!!!  Also, the knob that lights the burners on the cooktop broke.  This is easily taken care of with a match till we can replace the knob.  The food problem is not so easily taken care of.  Double Ugh!!!
